The Bellarine Blitz, a working bee with the three-fold purpose of providing opportunities for learning, social interaction and getting jobs done, is a regular feature of the Bellarine Landcare calendar. Activities range from planting to weeding and spreading mulch, and must contain some learning opportunities.
It’s based on the ‘Permablitz’ model where participants who attend three Blitzes have the opportunity host a Blitz at their property. Blitzes run for a casual two hours on a Sunday morning and are followed by a lunch arranged by the host. They are becoming a popular, community-building activity.
