Corporate Partnership: Craters to Coast Alliance

The “Craters to Coast Alliance" is a partnership between Heytesbury District Landcare Network, Santos and Origin Energy that was formed more than a decade ago. This partnership aims to create a zone of “conservation excellence” between Camperdown and the Coast.

In order for this alliance to have regular annual direct community benefit, each year a funding allocation goes directly to the Craters to Coast Schools Program and Craters to Coast Community Pest Plant and Animal Project:

Craters to Coast Schools Program

  • Provides up to $1000 of funding for local schools
  • Goes to projects that provide environmental education and/or deliver an on ground project that benefits the local environment
  • Schools are sent and application form each year and are required to fill it out and return it

Community Pest Plant and Animal Program

  • Funding up to $1000 for community environmental and Landcare groups
  • Allows groups to undertake pest plant and animal monitoring and control works
  • Priority given to projects that demonstrate value for money and strategic weed control works over a number of years.

The balance of funds is committed to on-ground works, funding for the HDLN community nursery and other projects and activities that are undertaken by the Network.
